TOTAL COST OF WORKS : 153 000 €
EXTENSION AND RENOVATION OF A FARM
HABITABLE SPACE : 210 m²
PROJECT :
With its back turned to the sea, this tumble-down old breton farm opened onto an interior courtyard closed off on the right side by an outbuilding (this hidden by the extension in the photos shown).
However the client wanted to benefit from the large panorama onto the coast in this holiday home.
The extension was imposed between the two gable walls in a gentle curve and became the convergence point of the whole building where the family came together.
Designed to withstand the hardships of a coastal climate, the extension borrows from the language of the sea ; a roof which rises lide the mast of a ship, porthole windows giving a view straigh out to the sea and red cedar cladding, whose changing tint harmonises with the copper roofs.
